Human Force
Human Force is a programme which supports young Subud members from all around the world to volunteer at Susila Dharma or Subud projects, combining meaningful community service with cultural immersion and personal growth.
Coordinated through SDIA, Human Force enables the
young participants to gain valuable insights into charitable work at a well-established Subud-run project and provide support to that project's wider aims.
In 2025 SDB provided match funding to support trainees and participants to attend a 10-day camp in Amanecer, Colombia, to support the Fundacion Amanecer project. Originally intended to take place in July, the camp had to be postponed and then took place in January 2026.
Fundacion Amanecer offers an after-school camp for children, where they can connect with nature and learn about their local wildlife and plants. Amongst several tasks to improve the grounds there, the Human Force team helped to design and build a new "kiosko" (shelter) made of timber and
locally sourced bamboo known as 'guadua', so that whatever the weather, the club can go ahead.
SDB helped fund the shortfall for the building's construction to improve the conditions of the afterschool programmes run by the project.
For Etienne, one of the new HF trainers, the Human Force represents more than volunteer work,
